Pulau Parai Kumala

Kumala Island located on the center of mahakam River. with area of 76 hectares, the island is designed as tourism object with both sophisticated and traditional culture recreations. at the front-end area of the island, there is a large statue of "Lembu Swana" which can be seen from the river bank and becoming the icon of the island.
Kumala island provides recretional facilities for families and children.
The island can be reached by commercial motor boats or long boat provided by Kumala management which takes only 10 minutes to across the mahakam river. the other way, visitors can use the Cable Car to go to the island.
the island also provides resort completed with swimming pool, restaurant and cottages.

Kutai Kartanegara - Museum Mulawarman

Mulawarman Museum is located in Tenggarong, the capital city of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, east Kalimantan Province. Many historical inscriptions and relic of Kutai Kartanegara ing Martadipura Sultanate are collected in this Museum. The scripts and inscriptioinsalso tell about the history of the oldest Hindu Kingdom at 4 century.
One of special collections in this museum is "uncal" neklace, known as one of the only two neklace in the word  aside of one in india. According to 'Ramayana' story, the neklace in india is belong to Rama style and the in Mulawarman Museum is belong to Shinta style.
The Museum is strategically located near the mahakam river and other tourism attractions such as planetarium.
