Pink Beach is one of
the famous tourist destinations in Komodo National Park. It is one of the many
amazing features of Komodo Island that make it truly a Natural Wonder of
Nature. This exceptional beach gets its striking color from microscopic animals
called Foraminifera, which produce a red pigment on the coral reefs. Aside from
the pink beach itself, a few small segments along Komodo’s eastern bay also
have a pinkish tint. Located at the north
east at Komodo entry point called Loh Liang, Pink beach is one of a must-stop
beach after trekking in Komodo Island. It is just less than 15 minutes with the
boat from the Loh Liang boat jetty.
Once
you get there, you are just tempting to jump off the boat and start swimming.
Coral reefs here are so healthy and colorful, makes it a perfect place for
snorkeling.
Activity
Obviously snorkeling
and diving has become a sort of compulsory activity while visiting this beach.
The corals of the Pink Beach’s underwater garden are in excellent condition,
with hundreds of species of both soft and hard corals, and thousands of species
of fish.
Relax in Pink Beach
and work on your tan or join with the various other available water sports such
as kayaking or just having a leisurely swim.

hand at capturing the stunning natural beauty
of the island. Make sure you stick till the sunset as the view is
amazing.
Keep in mind, is that
this is an uninhabited island, and it is also is the natural habitat of Komodo
Dragon. It is not recommended to visit this beach without the help of an
experienced guide or ranger.
